In the early 2010s, the internet felt personal—consumers saw marketing messages for things they actually wanted. But as cookies disappeared, the largest companies adapted while everyone else was left behind, forced into "spray and pray" advertising that created consumer fatigue and made the web feel impersonal again.

Three NYU friends saw this divide and decided to act. With backgrounds spanning digital marketing attribution, Google's data tracking systems, and growth strategy consulting at Accenture, they founded Tie to restore more meaningful marketing for everyone—giving businesses everywhere the same data-driven tools that only large corporations could access before.
