Whether you're trying to launch a marketing campaign, check automation performance, or onboard a new teammate, getting locked out of Klaviyo slows everything down. In 2025, login errors have become more common, with mandatory multi-factor authentication for paid plans, partner portals split from regular logins, and browser security tightening.

This guide gives ecommerce email marketing teams all the information they need to stay logged in to your Klaviyo account to continue managing your marketing campaigns with ease, including:

  • Direct links to every login path.
  • How to fix loops, 403s, MFA failures, and partner access blocks.
  • Step-by-step reset instructions and support routes that work.

One-click access to the Klaviyo login page

The fastest way to access your Klaviyo account is through the direct login URL: klaviyo.com/login. This link takes you directly to the secure login screen. You don’t need to navigate through the homepage or search manually.

Enter your email and password, and you’ll land directly on your Klaviyo dashboard.

Prefer logging in from the homepage?

You can also log in from Klaviyo’s home page. Look for the “Log in” button at the top-right corner and click on it. This takes you to the same login experience, just with one extra step.

What if your team uses SSO?

If your organization has set up Single Sign-On (SSO), you’ll see a “Log in with SSO option” on the login page. With this, you can access your Klaviyo workspace through your company credentials without requiring a separate password.

A few key things to note:

  • SSO is only available to accounts on paid plans.
  • You’ll need to be an admin or the owner to set it up initially.
  • Once active, SSO helps streamline logins across large teams while improving account-level security.

Logging in with multiple accounts?

If you manage more than one Klaviyo account with the same email:

  • You’ll be logged into the most recently used account by default.
  • To switch, click your account name at the bottom-left corner and select “All accounts”.
  • Use the search bar or pin key accounts to the top for quicker access.

This setup is especially useful for agencies or global brands running regional stores who don’t want to manage multiple logins.

Fastest password reset flow

If you’re locked out of your Klaviyo account, here’s exactly how to reset your password and get back in quickly:

  1. Go to the login page: Head to klaviyo.com/login. Click the “Forgot your password?” link under the login form.

  1. Enter your email: Enter the email address tied to your Klaviyo account and hit “Send email.”

You’ll see a confirmation that the reset email is on its way.

Example Klaviyo password reset email prompt
  1. Check your inbox (and other tabs): The reset link will arrive from noreply@klaviyo.com (verify with your IT team if needed). If the mail didn’t land in your primary inbox, check the Spam, Promotions, and Updates tabs too. The link is only valid for 3 hours. If it expires, repeat the process to generate a new one.
  2. Reset your password: Click the link (or paste it into your browser). You’ll land on a secure page with a reset form. Your new password must:
    1. Be 8–64 characters long.
    2. Avoid common terms like “password” or “klaviyo.”
    3. Include at least one special character.

Re-enter the password to confirm and click “Reset password.”

  1. Log in again: You’ll be redirected back to the login page. Use your updated password to access your account.

If you’ve waited a few minutes and the reset mail still hasn’t arrived, even in spam, submit a support request to Klaviyo’s team.

2FA/MFA roadblock fixes

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all paid Klaviyo accounts. But when something breaks, like a missing code or a locked device, it can block access at the worst time.

Here’s exactly how to get around common MFA roadblocks and regain access to your account fast:

1. Try these first response fixes

Most login issues are tied to mismatched times or expired codes. Start here:

  • Wait for a fresh code:  Authenticator apps generate a new code every 30 seconds. If you're too early or late, the code won’t work.
  • Sync your phone’s time: MFA codes rely on the UTC timezone. On mobile, go to “Settings” and turn on automatic time.
  • Use a backup code: If you downloaded the 4 backup codes during your MFA setup, any unused one will get you in. Each works once.

  • Using SMS MFA:
    • Confirm you're using the same phone number you set up with.
MFA prompt asking you to fill in the SMS number details
  • Wait at least 30 seconds after clicking Send Code.
  • Check for signal issues or blocked texts (on Android, look in Spam & Blocked).

Note: Klaviyo does not offer SMS 2FA in all countries, for which many users have raised complaints.

2. Ask an admin to reset MFA

If you're part of a team account, the owner or any admin can reset your MFA:

  1. Go to Settings and then “Users”.
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to your name and navigate to “Reset MFA”.
  3. You’ll get a reset email titled “MFA reset request”. Check spam and the promotions tabs if it doesn’t show up.

The link is valid for 12 hours. If it expires, you’ll need to request another reset. Once clicked, MFA is turned off temporarily. You'll be prompted to reset it when logging back in.

3. Locked out as the sole owner

If you're the only user on the account and can’t get past MFA:

  1. Fill out the “Account Access Request” form via Klaviyo Support.
  2. Klaviyo will verify your identity manually. This may take a few days, especially during high-volume periods.

Important notes:

  • If you’ve set up both SMS and app-based MFA, Klaviyo will default to the authenticator app.
Klaviyo's pop-up prompting you to choose between two MFA methods
  • Backup codes are shown only once during setup. There’s no way to regenerate them.
  • MFA cannot be fully disabled on paid accounts unless you’re using SSO instead.

If you're still locked out, try posting your issue in the Klaviyo Community. Their support team actively monitors threads and will open a ticket on your behalf, especially if it’s time-sensitive.

Partner portal login

Klaviyo’s Partner Portal is a dedicated dashboard for agency partners to manage clients, access resources, track performance, and collaborate directly with the Klaviyo team.

It’s separate from your main Klaviyo account and has a dedicated login URL.

Important note: Your login may match your main Klaviyo account, but access is restricted to verified partners only. If your email isn’t tied to an approved agency profile, your login and password reset won’t work.

Forgot your password?

You can use the “Forgot password?” link on the login screen to reset it, but the email sometimes lands outside your inbox.

Before trying again:

  • Check your spam, promotions, and updates tabs
  • Wait a few minutes; some resets can take longer to arrive
  • Make sure you’re using the correct domain.

No access?

If login isn’t working or your reset link never arrives, do this:

“Hi, I’m unable to access the Partner Portal. I’ve tried resetting my password but haven’t received any email. Could you please help me regain access? I need access urgently.”

  • Post in the Klaviyo Community: Go to community.klaviyo.com and post under “Partner Portal” or “Login & Security”. The community team often flags posts to their internal support team, and many users have had tickets opened for them and gotten support on priority.

Shopify integration login loops

If you're stuck in a login loop while connecting Klaviyo with Shopify or seeing errors like “403: Forbidden” or “OAuth failed”, this usually points to authentication conflicts caused by cookies, expired tokens, or browser behavior.

Here’s how to troubleshoot and reset the connection cleanly.

Common login loop fixes

Start with the basics:

  • Log into Shopify in a new tab first: Make sure you're actively logged into the same Shopify account in a separate tab before clicking Update Settings inside Klaviyo. This helps pass authentication tokens cleanly.
  • Clear cookies or use incognito mode: Cached session data or blocked third-party cookies often break the OAuth handshake. Incognito mode skips cache and cookie conflicts altogether.
  • Avoid toggling away during OAuth: If you click Update Settings and then hit back or switch tabs before the redirect completes, Klaviyo can’t validate the token, leading to sync failure.

Tip: Chrome and Firefox are more reliable than Safari or Brave to complete the authentication flow without ITP-related issues.

2. Generic error

If the error prompt says, “We are unable to update your integration settings at this time,” it could mean:

  • The store URL format is incorrect (must be storename.myshopify.com).
  • Your Shopify store is frozen (e.g., unpaid balance or expired trial).
  • The Klaviyo app is not installed inside Shopify.
  • You’ve clicked away during the OAuth handshake.

Some ways to fix this are:

  • Confirm your store URL spelling.

  • Log in to Shopify directly to check store status.
  • Reinstall the Klaviyo app from the Shopify App Store.

3. Data sync error

If Klaviyo shows the integration as active but Shopify data isn’t flowing in, your access token may have expired silently.

To reset:

  • In Klaviyo, go to Integrations and navigate to Shopify.
  • Click the three-dot menu and select ‘Remove Integration’.
  • Then, re-add Shopify from scratch via Add Integration.
  • Complete the re-authentication flow without interruption.

This will re-initiate your 90-day sync, followed by the full historical sync.

If the issue persists, contact Klaviyo Support or post in the Klaviyo Community, and someone from the team might help you out.

Quick paths to get help when locked out of your Klaviyo account

If you're still unable to access your Klaviyo account, even after resetting passwords, checking MFA, or reauthenticating integrations, use these support routes based on the issue:

1. Start with the Help Center

Visit the Klaviyo Help Center and use precise search terms like:

  • "MFA not working"
  • "403 Shopify integration error"
  • "reset partner portal password"

Don’t use broad queries like “can’t log in.” Since the Help Center indexes exact phrases, copy the language that Klaviyo uses in its product and error messages.

Articles are updated frequently and often contain direct links to reset flows, security settings, or role-specific fixes.

2. Use the Klaviyo Community to escalate

Go to the Klaviyo community and make a post under the relevant conversation. For example, if you're blocked by a failed MFA or login loop and support isn’t reachable, post in the “Login & Security” or “Partner Portal” categories.

Community managers often monitor these threads and can open a ticket on your behalf, especially for time-sensitive issues like campaign launches or client handoffs.

Submit an “account access request” form

If you're the only Admin or Owner and can't log in due to lost MFA, expired credentials, or a deactivated email, submit an account access form.

You’ll need to verify ownership with business details, and resolution may take 1-3 business days, depending on queue volume.

This form is not for users who still have access via other teammates. For this, reach out to an admin to reset your login from the “Users” tab.

Understand what support you have access to

The level of support you receive depends on your selected pricing plan.

If you’re on a free plan, don’t waste time looking for a chat box, since that option isn’t available. Instead, use the  Help Center, Academy, or the Klaviyo Community, where support staff often respond publicly or turn issues into support tickets.

Klaviyo login FAQs

Where can I log in to my Klaviyo account?

Use the direct login URL. If you’re already browsing the homepage, click “Log in” at the top-right corner. This link works across all plan types and redirects you to your dashboard after your Klaviyo sign-in.

How do I reset my Klaviyo password?

Click “Forgot your password?” on the login page. Enter the email associated with your Klaviyo account. If it’s valid, you’ll receive a reset link (valid for 3 hours) from noreply@klaviyo.com.

If you don’t see the email:

  • Check your spam, promotions, and updates folders.
  • Make sure you’re using the correct login URL (not the Klaviyo Partner Portal).

Still nothing? Try again or escalate through support.

What’s the difference between the Klaviyo Partner Portal and regular login?

The Klaviyo Partner Portal is for approved agencies to manage leads, co-branded assets, client performance, and certifications.

While the login credentials for the main Klaviyo and the partner account may be the same, the Partner Portal access requires a verified agency profile. If you haven’t been approved, you won’t be able to reset the password or login.

How does Single Sign-On (SSO) work for Klaviyo?

If your team uses SSO (e.g., through Okta or Microsoft Entra ID), you’ll see a “Log in with SSO” option on the login page.

To use it:

  • Your account must be on a paid Klaviyo plan.
  • Your Admin or Owner must have already configured SSO in account settings.

Once active, SSO allows you to bypass standard passwords and log in directly with company credentials. This is especially useful for larger teams managing multiple accounts.

What should I do if I have lost access to my MFA device?

If you can’t access your MFA code due to a lost phone or app issue, here’s how to solve it:

  • If you saved your backup codes, use one to log in (each can be used once).
  • If you're on a team account, ask an admin to reset your MFA from Settings → Users.
  • If you're the owner or admin, submit an Account Access Request. You’ll be asked to verify your identity before MFA is removed.

MFA is required on all paid accounts, so you’ll need to reconfigure it after regaining access.

I’m on a free plan. What support options do I have if I’m locked out?

Free plan users don’t have access to email or chat support. But you still have two ways you can get help:

  • Search the Help Center: Use specific error phrases (e.g., "can’t receive reset email", "OAuth error").
  • Post on the Klaviyo Community: Choose the right topic (like “Login & Security”). Moderators actively escalate critical issues, especially login blocks.
