Engagement Scoring and Send Decisioning
Your list keeps growing. Revenue isn't keeping pace.
Engagement-based segments describe past behavior. They can't tell you who's ready today, so sends go wide and revenue per send drops. Tie tells you who's ready now.
Intent scored daily
Purchase, open, and click scores for every shopper, updated once a day
More revenue, fewer sends
The same list, working harder, without adding volume
Resurface dormant shoppers
Profiles you'd written off rejoin campaigns when intent returns
Stay in control
You decide the thresholds for who does and doesn't receive messages
Your best openers aren't the same as your best buyers.
Opens and clicks record what someone did inside your email. They tell you nothing about the shopper who is showing high on-site intent after weeks of dormancy.
The same decisions. Two ways to make them.
30, 60 and 90-day segments tell you who engaged in the past. They miss the anonymous subscriber browsing your site on their phone right now, or the one who went quiet on email but has visited three times this week.
The job
Done by hand
With Tie
Who gets the next campaign?
Static opens and click rules that focus on engagement, not intent
A 1-10 purchase score for every shopper profile, refreshed every day
Who should I exclude from this send?
Hold back shoppers who haven't engaged in the last 30/60/90 days
Shoppers unlikely to purchase or engage, based on signals your ESP can't see
Are there suppressed shoppers I can reactivate?
Not done. Too risky to unsuppress and risk an unsubscribe or spam complaint
Suppressed profiles are scored in the same way as active ones. Unsuppress when intent spikes
How do I send more relevant messages?
Send broad campaigns based on past product views, or flows limited to basic event triggers
Add shoppers to flows as soon as they meet specific demographic, intent, or behavioral criteria
Knowing who's ready to buy is only half the battle.
You still need to make sure your messages are seen. Tie helps your messages land in the Primary inbox so that your hard work doesn't fall short at the goal line.

Scores are properties. Slot them into your existing retention strategy without missing a beat.
Ready-to-buy nudge
purchase ≥ 8 · no order in 7 d
A flow that fires the day a shopper's score crosses 8, before your next campaign goes out.
Winback on rising intent
purchase rising 3 days
Dormant subscribers re-enter a flow when their score climbs, not when a 90-day timer expires.
Protect deliverability
exclude purchase ≤ 3
Hold low-intent profiles out of promotional sends so volume never outruns reputation.
Common questions
Straight answers on how Predict fits next to your ESP, how it is measured and who it is built for.
All questions →How is Predict different from my ESP's own predictive analytics?
Your ESP scores on what happens inside your ESP: engagement history from your list. Predict draws on 55+ signals from Tie's identity graph: on-site behavior your ESP never sees, cross-device browsing, anonymous visitors your ESP can't identify, and cross-client signals from across Tie's network. Predict can score a shopper who never opted into your list. Your ESP can't.
How often do scores refresh, and how fast is setup?
Scores refresh once a day, from the previous 24 hours of behavior. First-time visitors are scored in near-real time, in less than 15 min. Integration typically takes 24 to 48 hours from pixel install to first score sync, and onboarding is completed in the first week.
What happens to my suppression list?
Predict scores it too. Contacts who look dead in your ESP but are browsing your site on another device surface with high intent scores. Your team decides whether and how to re-engage them.
Is there a minimum list size?
Predict needs about 100,000 active email subscribers to start scoring. There is no traffic minimum: scores sharpen as your list and site activity grow.
