How Mejuri Increased Abandoned Cart Revenue by 73% With Tie ID

Mejuri wanted its flows to do the selling. Tie ID gave the flows enough shoppers to work with, recognizing site visitors Klaviyo could not and routing each one into the flow that matched where she was in the buying journey. Abandoned cart flow revenue rose 73 percent and browse abandonment flow revenue rose 38 percent, a 108X return on flows alone.

100X+ ROI is awesome, and it’s easy to validate with flows because it’s a straight line: Tie recognizes the shopper, the flow fires, and they purchase. And seeing AOV increase tells me that we’re catching people while they’re still choosing, rather than nudging someone who was going to buy anyway.

About the brand

Mejuri wanted its flows to do the selling. Tie ID gave the flows enough shoppers to work with, recognizing site visitors Klaviyo could not and routing each one into the flow that matched where she was in the buying journey. Abandoned cart flow revenue rose 73 percent and browse abandonment flow revenue rose 38 percent, a 108X return on flows alone.

Before tie

Mejuri sells fine jewelry both in retail stores and direct to consumer on Shopify, with a mature lifecycle program on Klaviyo run by a specialist team across lifecycle marketing, analytics and product.

The team had a goal to drive more revenue from flows, rather than campaigns. Campaigns are brand work, scheduled around product launches, store openings and seasonal moments. Flows are more closely tied to customer lifecycle, allowing Mejuri to deliver more relevant touchpoints. Through the first half of 2026, Mejuri deliberately pulled campaign volume down to three or four sends a week and held the line on revenue per send.

However, flows only fire for shoppers the platform can recognize. Klaviyo's own on-site identification resolves under 10 percent of site traffic, and a fine jewelry purchase is exactly the case where that gap costs the most. A Mejuri shopper researches for weeks and buys in one session, often on a different device from the one where the research started. She browses rings on her phone at lunch and comes back on a laptop that night, but to Klaviyo those are two different shoppers. The add to cart never triggered an abandoned cart email. The product view never triggered browse abandonment. The shopper is stuck in the middle of a considered purchase with no flow to catch her.

The obvious fix, capturing more traffic, ran into a second constraint. The team was already over its Klaviyo profile volume, running list hygiene and sunset programs, and watching its deliverability score move the wrong way. Every additional profile passed into Klaviyo had to earn its place. Mejuri did not need a bigger list. It needed the shoppers already on the site to be recognized in the moment, and placed in the right flow.

“A jewelry purchase can take weeks. We need to be able to track shoppers through their journey so we can nurture them and get that conversion when intent is high. That means identifying them every time they visit our site.” - Evan Hughes, VP of Growth, Mejuri
What we did

Tie ID resolves anonymous site traffic into Klaviyo profiles with no login and no form fill, matching across the devices and IP addresses a single shopper uses. For Mejuri it works on two pools at once: shoppers already in Klaviyo whom Klaviyo failed to recognize on that visit, and net new shoppers who were never in the list.

The part that changed the program is what Tie passes, not how much. Tie does not send one generic identified signal. It sends separate events for different stages of on-site behavior. Each event is wired to the flow built for that stage. Mejuri can send those flows automatically, they don’t have to sort recognized shoppers into journeys after the fact.

Volume stayed under control because Mejuri narrowed capture rather than widening it. Tie applies behavioral filters on its own side before anything reaches Klaviyo, only passing through shoppers who spent significant time on site or viewed multiple pages. Flow qualification also runs on shoppers who can receive email marketing, so anyone suppressed, unsubscribed or previously marked as spam stays out.

Attribution is set conservatively. Revenue counts only where Tie made the identification, no other identity service did so in the surrounding window, an email fired, and a purchase followed.

“In addition to recognizing shoppers, we also want to be able to sort them into the right flows. Because Tie provides different events for different stages of intent, it’s easy for us to do this automatically.” - Evan Hughes, VP of Growth, Mejuri
after tie

Because Tie flows run separately from Mejuri’s standard flows and shoppers are only added to them if they aren’t picked up by the standard flows, revenue lift is easy to measure. In summer 2026, Tie increased abandon cart revenue by 73%, and browse abandonment revenue by 38%. On flow revenue alone, this represented a 108X ROI for Mejuri.

Tie also contributes to revenue outside of Mejuri’s flows. By recognizing shoppers who’d otherwise remain anonymous, Tie allows Mejuri to connect the dots between sessions, building more robust customer profiles and ensuring shoppers receive more relevant, personalized messages that would have otherwise gone unsent if they’d remained anonymous.

In the first half of 2026, Tie delivered $3.6M+ in assisted revenue. On top of that, AOV from Tie-attributed orders was 11% higher than Mejuri’s overall AOV. Reaching shoppers with relevant messages when intent is high creates a recipe not just for driving purchases, but for driving larger purchases.

“100X+ ROI is awesome, and it’s easy to validate with flows because it’s a straight line: Tie recognizes the shopper, the flow fires, and they purchase. And seeing AOV increase tells me that we’re catching people while they’re still choosing, rather than nudging someone who was going to buy anyway.” - Evan Hughes, VP of Growth, Mejuri
