How Fair Harbor Drove 139% CTR and 49% Conversion Lift

The lift was immediate. A 139% increase in click-through rates at full statistical significance with no downside to unsubscribes or deliverability. Once we saw it, we added Tie across every flow.
About the brand
Fair Harbor reflects the effortless ease of coastal living, laid-back and shaped by the elements. Expanding beyond its original swimwear, the brand now brings its signature comfort and versatility to year-round apparel essentials.
Critical emails weren’t always landing where they needed to
Fair Harbor’s email program was strong, but the team didn’t have full confidence that high-intent messages were consistently reaching the primary inbox. Even small placement issues could lead to missed revenue, especially during peak periods when new visitors were learning the brand story.
“Most tools say the dip is fine because the numbers look big,” she shared. “Tie was the first team that actually said, ‘Let’s fix this.’”
Scaling sends without harming domain health felt risky
As Fair Harbor grew, the team needed to reach broader audiences. But expanding volume without visibility into inbox placement meant gambling with domain reputation— a risk that could weaken every lifecycle flow.
They needed a testing model they could trust
Fair Harbor’s requirement was simple: any deliverability product had to be tested within their own Klaviyo account with their own logic, segmentation, and data. No black-box metrics, and no inflated lift claims.
They needed a fully transparent workflow and proof of incrementality before rolling anything out.

A universal block that plugged directly into their Klaviyo setup
Tie’s team added a single universal block into Fair Harbor’s Klaviyo instance. Setup took days and required no engineering bandwidth. Once the block was live, the team could insert it into any flow or campaign template.
“It was very easy. We gave access, Tie added the block, and we were testing almost immediately.”
A/B testing built on Fair Harbor’s terms
To validate results cleanly, Fair Harbor ran holdout tests across flow emails, campaign sends, and multiple templates.
Each test compared identical sends with and without the Tie block. This approach allowed the team to measure performance in a controlled, transparent environment using their own Klaviyo reporting.
Rolled out across every flow once the lift was proven
The first test showed a dramatic lift in CTR and stronger site-level conversion from the exposed group.
Once incrementality was confirmed, Fair Harbor added the universal Tie block across all lifecycle flows and email templates to standardize inbox placement improvements at scale.

139% CTR lift with a 100% statistical significance
In the first A/B test, Tie delivered a 139% higher click-through rate, fully validated inside Fair Harbor’s own Klaviyo. No increase in unsubscribes, no spam signals, just more engagement.
“The lift was undeniable. Once we saw it, we added Tie everywhere.”
49% lift in site conversion
Fair Harbor saw a 49% increase in orders per click from the same test. While not statistically significant, the increase aligned with stronger inbox placement and higher-intent engagement.
29% CTR lift in a second validation test
Months later, to confirm durability, Fair Harbor re-ran the test. The result was a 29% CTR lift, again at 100% statistical significance, proving ongoing inbox improvements even as volume scaled.
Deliverability protection throughout
Early deliverability dips were quickly corrected with Tie’s recommended adjustments, leading to the brand’s strongest inbox placement to date.
Confidence to safely scale sending
With better placement and durable engagement lifts, Fair Harbor gained the confidence to expand segmentation and send volume while maintaining list health and reputation.
