Getting more from traffic already on the site
Perry Ellis International runs all five brands on Klaviyo and manages its browse, cart and checkout abandonment flows in-house. The team sets paid media budgets against a cost of sales target, so email revenue affects how much the paid team can spend. Before Tie, the flows reached only the shoppers Klaviyo could identify, and the rest browsed and left unrecognized.
"Bringing our flows into Klaviyo was the right call. The next step was reaching more of the shoppers already on our sites, and Tie showed us who they were," said Jay Nigrelli, President DTC at Perry Ellis International.
Five brands live in one rollout
Perry Ellis International started onboarding with Tie in June 2026 and had all five brands live by August, with one credit pool shared across the portfolio. Tie ID recognizes visitors Klaviyo can't and sends them into each brand's Klaviyo account, where the existing abandonment flows pick them up.
"We run five brands with a small team, and Tie got all five live in one rollout. This was one of the smoothest implementations we've had," Jay said.
Tie runs alongside the identification each brand already had. Browse, cart and checkout abandonment flows fire in order: Shopify's trigger first, then Tie, with sends staggered five minutes apart so each shopper enters only one. For shoppers who aren't yet on the list, Tie triggers only the highest-intent flows, cart and checkout abandonment, to protect deliverability. In September, Perry Ellis, Original Penguin and Callaway moved from a conservative match setting to standard.
$83K from Tie flows in the first full month
In September 2026, Tie identified 195,511 shoppers across the five brands and sent them into Klaviyo. After the move to the standard setting, the share of visitors identified rose from 17.4% to 27.3% on Perry Ellis, and from 18.5% to 27.3% on Original Penguin.
Tie abandonment flows brought in $83,801 in attributed revenue from 853 orders in September, up from $21,621 in August, when the flows were live for less than two weeks. Perry Ellis led the portfolio with $29,014, or 3.7% of the brand's online revenue for the month. On Cubavera, the Tie engaged segment had a 48% open rate, the highest of any segment on the brand. Measured on Klaviyo-attributed revenue, Perry Ellis International earned 11.4x what it paid for Tie in September.
"Every dollar email brings in gives our paid team more room to spend, so reach matters. Tie found close to 200,000 shoppers in one month on traffic we'd already paid for, and now we can email them. If you run more than one brand, that's the fastest way to get more out of the traffic you already have," Jay said.
Going into Black Friday, the team is testing Tie Predict segments so its biggest sends of the year go to the shoppers most likely to buy.
