How Fair Harbor Unlocked $38K+ in Incremental Revenue

Every dollar that flowed through our Tie triggers was purely incremental. Tie identified people our other tools missed, and the transparency gave us complete confidence in the revenue.
About the brand
Fair Harbor reflects the effortless ease of coastal living, laid-back and shaped by the elements. Expanding beyond its original swimwear, the brand now brings its signature comfort and versatility to year-round apparel essentials.
Good engagement, but difficulty converting new visitors
Fair Harbor had strong email performance, but struggled to convert new shoppers since they wanted more context and storytelling before buying. But the brand found it challenging to explain what makes Fair Harbor’s fabric and fit special during a visitor’s first few seconds on-site.
"How do you show a feeling to someone who’s brand-new to the brand?"
Their team needed a way to retarget these first-time visitors and share their story through email, a channel where they knew they could convert them better.
Identity blind spots across their stack
Klaviyo and Elevar weren’t capturing all sessions. As a result, thousands of potential triggers for browse or cart abandonment weren’t firing.
Visitors who weren’t logged in, switched devices, or browsed anonymously weren’t captured, making it impossible for Fair Harbor to follow up.
Past tools lacked transparency or control
Alexa had used Wunderkind in a previous role, but the product felt too expensive, too rigid, too black-box, difficult to brand authentically, and impossible to validate for incrementality
BlackCrow had also been used before she joined, but was turned off because the team couldn’t prove incrementality.
Deliverability had to stay protected
When Fair Harbor first implemented Tie, early settings caused a slight deliverability dip, but what mattered was the response. Tie prioritized program health (not volume) and worked with the team to fix it fast. Deliverability is now the strongest it’s ever been.
"Most tools say it’s fine because the numbers are big. Tie actually helped us fix it."

Tie identified visitors that no other system could catch
Fair Harbor integrated Tie’s Web ID to fill the identity gaps across Klaviyo and Elevar. Tie synced identified shoppers directly into browse abandonment flows and cart abandonment flows.
If Elevar or Klaviyo fired first, Tie stayed silent. If no tool fired, Tie triggered the email, making every Tie-attributed conversion purely incremental.
"Every dollar attributed to Tie flows is incremental because those customers were missed by everything else."
Incrementality validated inside Fair Harbor’s own systems
Alexa set up filters so Tie would trigger only when no other system could. This lets her validate revenue inside their own ESP with full transparency, without black-box reporting or inflated numbers.
Fast, seamless integration built directly into their own Klaviyo
Tie integrated with Shopify and Klaviyo so cleanly that Alexa barely remembers the process, a sign of how frictionless it was.
Tie also helped build the initial flows within Fair Harbor’s account, giving the team full control to adjust logic, priorities, and incrementality safeguards.
Better retargeting audiences for paid media
Fair Harbor also used Tie’s demographic and identity data to power Meta retargeting. While not tested in isolation, the paid agency noticed CPAs drop around the same time these new audiences were added.
Built with customer experience and deliverability in mind
Tie helped optimize settings after a small deliverability dip during their onboarding early on, proving to Fair Harbor that the platform prioritized program health, consent, and customer experience, not inflated ID counts.

$38K+ incremental revenue within 6 months
Tie helped in identifying and capturing revenue from shoppers who weren’t caught by Elevar and Klaviyo.
This gave Fair Harbor incremental conversions that the team could validate confidently.
More importantly, Tie’s browse and cart triggers captured customers that their stack wouldn’t have engaged otherwise. The brand captured thousands of additional revenue from missed abandonment triggers
Better device and returning visitor identification
With 60%+ devices identified, Tie reliably recognized both new and returning visitors even when they weren’t logged in or switched devices.
Better paid performance with enriched audiences
Fair Harbor’s agency saw a lower CPA after switching to Tie-built audiences for Meta retargeting— a clear signal that identity resolution directly improves paid acquisition efficiency.
Deliverability remained strong
After adjusting early settings with Tie’s help, Fair Harbor’s inbox placement improved and stayed healthy.
